Our company’s foundation is built on faith, family, integrity, gratitude, and generosity. Our vision is to serve our clients, community, and coworkers as a central Ohio leader.

In the fall of 2019, we began considering and pursuing an urban event venue. Italian Village was of particular interest. We loved the authentic, growing, diverse community here. We felt a special connection to Italian Village. We loved our genuine connection to our roots in Italian Village – Sacred Heart Church, St John’s, and the Italian Festival.

Over 4 million Italians immigrated to the United States from 1880 to 1924, and 2 million from 1900 to 1910 alone. They were coming in search of opportunity. Many of them found a welcoming community in Columbus, Ohio. Our owner’s grandparents were part of that group, immigrating from Italy and Sicily, coming to the U.S. through Ellis Island in the 1900s, destined for Columbus, Ohio.

Even before our opening in June 2021, we began to connect with and put down roots in this community. When we originally named the venue, it was to pay homage to its use as the former Columbus Electrical Works building.

As we have lived in it, gotten to know the building and this community, and formed deeper roots and relationships, we have decided it’s time to update the name of this venue. A name more in the spirit of who we are, where we’ve come from, and representing this welcoming Italian Village community. A name that pays homage to our heritage and connects more profoundly to our community…

Therefore, we are updating our name.

Welcome to The Ellis. She’s a beauty!
